Shooting Sports Make It onto Television. And That Is Great News!

Something has happened that, until recently, many people considered impossible: a commercial encouraging viewers to obtain a firearms licence is now being broadcast nationwide in Poland on TVN.

According to its creators, this is the first television commercial of its kind in Polish history. Regardless of records and who was first, one thing is certain: this is an important step towards presenting shooting sports to a wider audience in a normal, balanced way—free from outdated stereotypes.

The campaign was conceived and developed jointly by the Stowarzyszenie Miłośników Karkówki z Grilla i Broni Kolekcjonerskiej ASY and Bunkier.pro. The commercial was produced by Leydo Film and Olek Leydo.

We congratulate everyone involved in the project—the people behind the idea, the organisers, the production crew, and the club members who appeared in the commercial. Particular recognition is due for the determination and enormous amount of work required to guide such an unusual project through all the formal, legal, and organisational stages.

Shooting Is a Normal and Valuable Hobby

A commercial like this helps change public perceptions of the shooting community. It shows that obtaining a firearms licence is not something reserved for a narrow group of people and that shooting can be an accessible activity for ordinary, responsible individuals.

It is a hobby that teaches concentration, self-control, discipline, and strict compliance with safety rules. It offers opportunities for sporting competition, the development of practical skills, and spending time among people united by a shared passion.

In today’s world, knowledge of safe firearms handling, the ability to perform under pressure, and a responsible approach to personal safety also have practical value. This is not about creating an atmosphere of fear, but about competence, responsibility, and proper preparation.

We are pleased to see shooting sports entering the public space without sensationalism or unnecessary fearmongering. This is what genuine grassroots work looks like: tens of thousands of people can learn that firearms can be legally owned in Poland and that shooting can be practised and developed safely and responsibly.

Congratulations to the teams at ASY, Bunkier.pro, and Leydo Film. You proved that it could be done—and you have done something positive for the entire Polish shooting community.
