IWI US – A New Approach to the Product Offering

Firearm Pricing Doesn’t Come Out of Thin Air – A Brief Introduction

Exchange rates, global logistics, export procedures, administrative decisions, and geopolitical realities — all of these directly affect the availability and final pricing of products entering the Polish market.

In this article, we explain what truly stands behind the IWI price list update, why many of the changes work in the customer’s favor, and how shifts in production structure impact the civilian market in Poland and across Europe.

Price Stability Despite Global Turbulence

Over the past few years, we have done everything possible to ensure that the end customer experienced real price stability — despite currency fluctuations, disruptions in global supply chains, political tensions, and regulatory decisions from oversight institutions.

There were even situations that bordered on the absurd, where shipments took indirect routes — for example through the United Arab Emirates — simply to maintain continuity of supply. In moments like these, together with the factory and the management of IWI US, we had to seek solutions that would preserve pricing predictability in Poland and Europe.

Today, although the world remains unstable, we are conducting a comprehensive price list review.

And importantly — in many cases, these changes are beneficial to the end customer. To you.

Firearm Import Is Responsibility, Not Just Logistics

Importing firearms is not merely about “bringing in a product.”
It means responsibility — for regulatory compliance, for procedural accuracy, for logistics, and for the reputation of the brand we represent as the official importer.

What Actually Influences the Final Price of a Firearm

Many factors impact the final retail price — both on the Polish side and in the country of origin.

An Israeli Brand, Global Production

One common simplification deserves clarification.

IWI is an Israeli brand — but that does not mean the entire portfolio is manufactured in Israel.

IWI US and the Civilian Segment of the Portfolio

Until now, models such as Zion, Carmel, and the Tavor TS12 shotgun have been entirely designed and manufactured by IWI US — the American subsidiary of the producer.

This is intentional. IWI US is more strongly focused on the civilian market and develops platforms that combine military-grade quality control standards with the expectations of civilian users.

The objective is simple: reliability, durability, and a reasonable value-to-performance ratio.

Military Roots, Civilian Experience

The manufacturer’s origins date back to 1933 (then operating as IMI). Following privatization in 2005 and its transition into an independent entity, the company joined SK Group. For years, its primary focus was designing and producing firearms for military and law enforcement use — built to perform in the most demanding conditions.

The AR-15 Zion – An Example of the American Market Approach

IWI US leveraged that experience and transferred it into the civilian segment. A strong example is the AR-15 platform (Zion) — a model that achieved significant commercial success and became a defining element of the American division’s portfolio.

A New Stage: Expansion of Production in the United States

The years 2025–2026 mark another phase of transformation.

IWI is expanding its production capacity in the United States, enlarging the factory and relocating part of the manufacturing from Israel to the U.S. This strategic direction is intended to reduce the impact of regional instability on material availability, component sourcing, and production processes.

Emotions Around the Brand vs. Technical Reality

The IWI brand also generates emotional commentary — sometimes very extreme and, in our assessment, unfair. As the Polish representative of the brand, we see calls to “ban” products bearing the IWI name.

Our position is straightforward: a firearm as a product does not carry political connotations.

Behind the IWI brand stands technology, knowledge, and experience — used by civilians and soldiers worldwide. Increasingly, production locations are determined by logistical and procedural realities, not by ideological narratives or geopolitical slogans.

The New Price List – What’s Behind the Changes

Returning to the core issue: in cooperation with the American manufacturer, we have developed a new pricing structure for firearms produced by IWI US.

MSRP vs. European Market Reality

Discussions about the pricing of imported firearms regularly return on online forums. They are often based on comparisons between American MSRP figures and retail pricing in Poland or Europe.

We understand the emotions behind such comparisons. However, they frequently omit essential and unavoidable elements of the import process, resulting in a distorted picture.

We will not provide a full “import manual” here.

If anyone is interested — join us for coffee. We will gladly walk through real examples.

Procedures That Make a Difference

One important point is worth highlighting.

Relocating a significant portion of production to the United States is procedurally beneficial for the importer, as it eliminates, among other things, the costly and time-consuming process of obtaining re-export licenses (just one element, but a significant one in the overall chain).

Production in the U.S. and Pricing in Poland

Because production has not yet been fully relocated to the United States, we are currently adjusting pricing for firearms manufactured in U.S. facilities.

In the future, as a larger share of the portfolio originates from the United States, further pricing adjustments will follow.

What’s Next? New Releases Not Yet Visible

The new price list is significantly broader than the selection currently visible on our website. It also includes items whose launches have not yet been officially announced — and therefore remain in the background for now.

We can reveal one thing: IWI is strongly expanding its civilian offering, and we have a feeling that this year will bring more than one surprise.

Where to Check Current Pricing and Discuss Configuration

We invite you to review current firearm pricing on the websites of the Strefa Celu and CSJ stores.

As always — if you would like to discuss a specific model, availability, or a configuration tailored to your needs, we are available at CSJ Łomianki, and soon again in the refreshed Strefa Celu showroom in Warsaw.
