Tactical Games – The Sport That Is Transforming Modern Shooting
Our Three Days at Tactical Games Poland 2026
Just a few years ago, The Tactical Games were known primarily among special operations personnel, firearms instructors, and functional fitness athletes in the United States. Today, this spectacular competition format is rapidly gaining popularity around the world, and Poland is steadily establishing its place on the map of this fast-growing sport.
We had the opportunity to experience it firsthand during Tactical Games Poland 2026, where Jammas (Target Zone and Jammas Shooting Center) took part in the event for three days as an exhibitor, partner, and prize sponsor. We returned from Pawłów not only with hundreds of new connections and an incredible amount of positive energy, but also with the conviction that we are witnessing the rise of a discipline that has the potential to significantly influence the future of practical shooting in Poland.
Where Did The Tactical Games Come From?
The Tactical Games originated in the United States around 2018, founded by former special operations personnel, firearms instructors, and functional fitness athletes. Their creators recognized a gap in the existing competitive landscape.
Traditional practical shooting competitions are excellent at testing firearm handling skills, but they usually take place under relatively low physical stress. On the other hand, CrossFit, Hyrox, and other functional fitness competitions evaluate strength, endurance, and mental resilience, while completely overlooking the challenge of handling firearms safely and accurately.
In real-world military and law enforcement operations, these two worlds never exist separately. Physical exertion, stress, fatigue, and the need to maintain complete control of a firearm always go hand in hand.
That is the philosophy behind The Tactical Games.
The goal is not to simulate combat or recreate military scenarios. Instead, it is a sport designed to test competitors under the most demanding conditions possible while maintaining the highest standards of firearms safety.

It’s Not the Fastest Shooter Who Wins
The Tactical Games quickly dispel the myth that shooting skill alone is enough.
On a single stage, competitors may first run several hundred meters wearing a plate carrier, carry a heavy sandbag, complete a series of burpees, drag a weighted sled, climb over obstacles, and only then face a shooting challenge that demands exceptional accuracy.
Every missed shot results in time penalties. Every procedural mistake costs valuable seconds. Any violation of the safety rules leads to immediate disqualification.
That is precisely why The Tactical Games are widely regarded as one of the most demanding shooting competitions in the world. Success depends not only on technical proficiency, but also on the ability to make sound decisions and maintain complete control when the body is operating at its physical limits.
What Does a Tactical Games Competition Look Like?
From a spectator’s perspective, The Tactical Games combine the excitement of practical shooting, obstacle course racing, and functional fitness into one highly dynamic event. For the competitors, however, it is two days of constantly pushing their physical and mental limits.
The competition begins long before the first shot is fired. On the day before the event, every competitor must complete a mandatory gear inspection. Organizers check firearms, equipment, and plate carriers to ensure they meet the required specifications, including minimum weight requirements. Each athlete is then assigned to a squad, receives the competition schedule, and attends mandatory safety briefings.
The competition itself is typically held over two days. During that time, competitors complete eight unique stages—four each day. Every stage presents a completely different challenge, meaning there are no two identical courses and no single training strategy that guarantees success.
One stage may begin with a weighted run, followed by carrying heavy Strongman bags, performing farmer’s carries, dragging weighted sleds, climbing ropes, or negotiating obstacles. Only after completing these physically demanding tasks do competitors transition to engaging targets with a rifle or pistol, often from different distances and shooting positions. The next stage may place greater emphasis on precision, speed, endurance, or a completely different combination of skills. Course layouts change from event to event, ensuring that even the most experienced competitors never know exactly what to expect.
A defining feature of The Tactical Games is its scoring system. Simply completing a stage quickly does not guarantee victory. Every missed target results in time penalties, and on certain stages competitors are scored using a system that combines shooting performance with the successful completion of physical tasks. Winning therefore depends on finding the perfect balance between speed, accuracy, and maintaining complete control of the firearm.
The safety standards are equally impressive. The Tactical Games are conducted on a cold range, meaning all firearms must remain unloaded except at designated shooting positions. Any safety violation—breaking the 180-degree rule, pointing the muzzle in an unsafe direction, dropping a loaded firearm, or firing an unintentional shot—results in immediate disqualification. In practice, this means competitors must remain fully focused at all times, even when they are physically exhausted.
That is exactly why watching The Tactical Games in person is such a remarkable experience. Spectators are not simply watching people shoot or perform fitness exercises. They are witnessing athletes who, after several minutes of intense physical exertion, are able to control their breathing, lower their heart rate, and deliver accurate shots precisely when every instinct tells them to stop and recover.
Why Has the World Fallen in Love with The Tactical Games?
The growing popularity of The Tactical Games is no coincidence.
The competition increasingly brings together IPSC shooters, military personnel, law enforcement officers, CrossFit athletes, Hyrox competitors, and people who simply want to challenge themselves.
It has created an entirely new community, bringing together competitors who would otherwise meet only within their own disciplines.
In the United States, The Tactical Games already feature a well-established calendar of regional qualifiers, state and national championships, and a rapidly growing community of competitors, instructors, and equipment manufacturers. The format is also expanding across Europe, with Poland quickly becoming one of the countries embracing this unique style of competition.
The Tactical Games Are Also a Spectator Event
Although the competitors are the stars of The Tactical Games, the event has been designed from the very beginning with spectators in mind. This is not a competition that is best experienced through a livestream. Quite the opposite—the real excitement comes from standing just a few meters away from the action.
Dedicated spectator areas allow visitors to safely watch the competition unfold up close. From demanding strength challenges and obstacle sections to the moment competitors transition into precise shooting with elevated heart rates, every stage showcases the unique combination of physical performance and marksmanship. It is only then that you truly appreciate how critical composure, technique, and concentration are to success.
The Tactical Games are about much more than the competition stages themselves. Equally important is the extensive exhibitor area, where manufacturers and distributors showcase the latest firearms, optics, accessories, tactical equipment, and training systems. Many products can not only be viewed, but also tested at dedicated demonstration ranges, while visitors have the opportunity to speak directly with manufacturers, instructors, and industry experts.

That was exactly the atmosphere that impressed us most during Tactical Games Poland 2026. Walking between the competition stages, visitors could cheer on the athletes, explore exhibitors’ booths, watch live equipment demonstrations, admire both military and historic vehicles, enjoy the food court, or simply strike up a conversation with people who share the same passion for shooting sports. The result was an event that felt more like a festival of modern shooting than a traditional sporting competition.
It is this welcoming atmosphere that makes The Tactical Games appealing not only to experienced competitors. They are equally inspiring for those taking their first steps into the world of shooting sports, as well as for families who want to experience one of the world’s fastest-growing shooting disciplines up close.
Tactical Games Poland – A World-Class Competition in Poland
This year’s edition of Tactical Games Poland proved that events built to world-class standards can also be organized here in Poland.
More than 300 competitors, over 1,000 visitors, eight demanding competition stages, numerous industry partners, and participants from across Europe created an atmosphere unlike that of any traditional shooting match.
The venue itself—Poland Shooting Center in Pawłów—was equally impressive. Its extensive infrastructure, expertly designed stages, outstanding organization, and unwavering commitment to safety clearly reflected the tremendous effort invested by Klub Sportowy KOBE in delivering an event of exceptional quality.

Our Tactical Games Journey Began… with Inflating a Tent
For our team, the event began long before sunrise.
After a journey of several hundred kilometers from Łomianki, we arrived on site and immediately got to work setting up our booth. Our goal was to create something more than a traditional product display. We wanted a space where visitors could relax, enjoy a good cup of coffee, explore the latest equipment, and, above all, take a break between competition stages.
From the very beginning, the weather decided to put everyone to the test. Strong winds and low temperatures made setting up a real challenge, while one of our inflatable tent supports apparently decided it wanted to compete as well, constantly losing air pressure. After countless visits with a pump, we were finally able to call it a day and bring the first day to a close.

Fortunately, on the second day, our tent support decided to call a truce and held its air pressure without the slightest issue.
Equipment That Drew the Crowds
From early morning, our booth was buzzing with visitors.
The greatest interest was focused on Sons of Liberty Gun Works rifles, particularly the MK1, a platform trusted by many of the top Tactical Games competitors.
The products from the Israeli manufacturer Meprolight attracted just as much attention, especially the MOR reflex sight, which combines three independent illumination systems—fiber optics, tritium, and battery power—into a single optic.
The Mantis training systems were equally popular. As dry-fire training continues to play an increasingly important role in modern firearms instruction, Mantis has become a benchmark in the field. International visitors showed particular interest in these systems, which was later reflected in orders shipped to several European countries.

Among the handguns, the IWI Masada Slim Elite was by far the most popular, while the legendary STEALTH ARMS Platypus pistols consistently drew crowds throughout the event.
Our custom firearms prepared by the Jammas Gunsmithing Workshop also attracted tremendous attention. Porting, stippling, custom engravings, precision-machined slides, and Cerakote finishes demonstrated that modern firearm customization can successfully combine outstanding performance with exceptional craftsmanship and aesthetics.
The Tactical Games Are About More Than Just Equipment
One of the things that impressed us the most was the atmosphere surrounding the entire event.
Throughout the venue, competitors, instructors, military personnel, police officers, representatives of other uniformed services, veterans, and newcomers to the shooting community gathered in one place.
There was no divide between professionals and enthusiasts.
Everyone was welcome to exchange experiences, explore the latest equipment, or simply ask for advice and technical support.
And that’s exactly what we spent three days doing.
We helped competitors with minor equipment issues, made quick adjustments to their gear, and, together with our partner Morse Defense, carried out on-the-spot repairs whenever needed. At our demonstration range, visitors also had the opportunity to test firearms including the IWI Masada, IWI Tavor, and STEALTH ARMS Platypus.
A Premiere That Turned Heads
The final day brought even more excitement.
We conducted extensive testing of the new Largo House Defense ammunition in both 9 mm and .223 Remington, using Sons of Liberty Gun Works rifles alongside the IWI Tavor and IWI Carmel platforms. Both our own observations and the feedback from visitors at the demonstration range confirmed the ammunition’s excellent consistency, reliability, and overall shooting performance.
We also gave the first public presentation of the ultra-compact IWI Mafteah semi-automatic shotgun. Despite its compact dimensions, it quickly became one of the highlights of the event, attracting significant attention from competitors and visitors alike during its debut demonstrations.
Do The Tactical Games Have a Future in Poland?
After spending three days in Pawłów, the answer seems obvious.
Absolutely.
And the future looks very promising.
The Polish shooting community is evolving at an impressive pace. More and more shooters are investing not only in equipment, but also in developing their skills. Functional fitness continues to gain popularity, while modern shooting sports are increasingly recognized as disciplines that demand a well-rounded combination of technical proficiency, physical fitness, and mental resilience.
The Tactical Games fit perfectly into this evolution.
It is a sport for people who aspire to become complete competitors—physically prepared, technically proficient, and capable of maintaining total control even under the most demanding conditions.
See You at the Next Tactical Games
We left Tactical Games Poland tired, but convinced that we had been part of something much bigger than just another shooting competition.
The event demonstrated that Polish shooting sports are entering a new era—one where cutting-edge equipment, responsible firearms training, physical performance, and competitive spirit come together as a single, unified discipline.
We are proud to have been part of this journey as an event partner, prize sponsor, and a team that had the opportunity to meet hundreds of people who share the same passion.
If The Tactical Games continue to grow at their current pace, we may well be witnessing the rise of one of the most exciting shooting disciplines of the coming decade.
And we’ll be more than happy to follow that journey—preferably from our own booth at the next edition of Tactical Games Poland.
